Service Plans

caution

The Service UI page is only applicable for logistics extensions. If you are building an extension other than a logistics extension, this page is not applicable for you.

A form-based approach has been introduced to simplify integrating logistics services. This helps standardize how logistics partners configure their service plans, making it easier for them to manage. The setup enables partners to define service types, delivery features, serviceable areas, and turnaround times—all from a guided interface.

The Service Plans page in the logistics extension allows partners to define and manage the logistics service plans available to sellers on Fynd Commerce. When a seller installs your Logistics extension, configured service plans appear in the logistics extension.

Each logistics extension supports multiple service plans, such as surface, air, express, and same-day delivery. Sellers can enable the specific plan that best fits their operational needs from the delivery configuration settings.

The steps to create and configure a service plan are outlined in the following sections.

  1. Log in to Fynd Partners.

  2. Go to the Extension tab.

  3. Navigate to the logistics extension, where you need to create a service plan and click on it.

  4. In the left sidebar, click Service Plans.

  5. On the Service Plans page, click Create Service Plan.

  6. Enter a plan name.

  7. Choose a mode of transportation for your shipments from the Plan Type dropdown list.

  8. In the Delivery Partner Capabilities widget, click Add to configure the features and capabilities of the service plan.

  9. In the Add Delivery Partner Capabilities menu, fill in the following details:

Dead WeightThis weight refers to the actual weight of shipments. If blank, it will be considered as NO LIMIT, and the delivery partner will be assigned based on volumetric weight.
Multi-Part ShipmentA Multi-Piece Shipment (MPS) involves multiple packages being shipped together under a single tracking number to process and deliver all the packages together. This method is often used for large orders split into several parcels but is meant to be delivered to the same destination at the same time under the same shipment ID or parent AWB.
