Take Orders

Store OS allows store staff to create and manage customer orders directly from the POS (counter-based) or mPOS (mobile device) interface. Orders can be fulfilled via Self Pickup or Home Delivery, with full visibility into catalog, inventory, and promotions.

Who Can Take Orders

  • Store Staff with POS access
  • Staff must be assigned to a sales channel and ordering store via Fynd Commerce

Order Creation Flow

  1. Log In to Store OS

    • User logs in with registered email or mobile number.
    • If assigned to multiple stores, they must select the Ordering Store.
  2. Search & Select Products

    • Search by name, item code, style code, barcode (scan or manual), or filters (brand, category, season, etc.).
    • Inventory View: Real-time availability for “My Store” and “All Stores.”
  3. Add Products to Cart

    • Tap “Add to Cart” for available products.
    • Out-of-stock items can be added as Endless Aisle orders.
  4. Cart Management

    • Save and manage multiple carts (valid for 24 hours).
    • Share cart digitally via WhatsApp or SMS.
    • Edit cart: update quantities, remove items, apply promotions/discounts.
  5. Price Adjustment via Extension

    • Store staff can override product prices during order creation.
    • Adjusted amounts appear as Price Adjustment in the order details.
    • The reason for adjustment is displayed beneath the adjustment entry.
    • The final payable price is clearly shown below.
    • Price override details are visible in the All Orders tab of each shipment/order.
  6. Add Customer (Optional or Mandatory)

    • Self Pickup: Customer details optional.
    • Delivery: Requires customer name, phone, and full address.
  7. Fulfillment Options

    • Self Pickup: Customer collects from store (available stock).
    • Home Delivery: Items shipped from warehouse or another store.
  8. Payment Options

    • Online: UPI, cards, net banking, payment links.
    • Offline: Cash, UPI, card swipe at store.
    • Credit note (if available).
  9. Final Steps

    • Review order summary.
    • Collect payment.
    • Confirm order.
    • Print/share invoice and receipt.
    • Order synced with backend (OMS, inventory, analytics).

Post-Order Actions

  • Orders appear in “My Orders” on Store OS.
  • Fulfillment and delivery steps are managed via OMS backend.
  • Returns/cancellations can be initiated from Store OS or OMS depending on fulfillment type.
