Receipt and Invoices
Store OS enables businesses to generate and print Invoices, Payment Receipts, and Credit Notes (CN) directly through thermal printers or as downloadable PDFs. These documents are fully configurable at the Fynd Commerce level and tailored to retail needs across geographies and store types.
Supported Document Types
- Invoice
- Payment Receipt
- Credit Note (CN)
Each document supports two formats:
- Thermal (Print on the fly via printer)
- A4 (Downloadable as PDF)
Configuration Access
All configurations for invoices and receipts are managed through the Fynd Commerce at the Sales Channel level.
Store-level granularity is part of the roadmap and can be introduced in future updates if specific stores require custom templates.
Invoice Configuration Options

| Billing Employee ID | Show the ID of the staff member who created the order. |
| Order Notes | Display any custom instructions or comments. |
| Barcode / QR Code | Embed Order ID, Shipment ID, Invoice ID or URLs (e.g., website link or self-checkout validation). |
| HTML/Custom Language Editor | Customize beyond standard toggles using code-based editor. |
Payment Receipt Configuration Options
Similar to invoices, payment receipts can be configured with:
- Logo toggle
- CIN display
- Header/footer customization
- Barcode/QR code inclusion
- Display of billing employee, customer type, order notes, and more
- HTML editor for deeper customization
Credit Note Configuration Options
- Show/hide logo, CIN, and GSTIN
- Add header/footer, place of supply, and billing staff ID
- Add barcode/QR (multiple QR codes supported, vertically stacked)
- Select variables (from order payload or custom input) for QR code generation
- HTML editor to build or modify templates freely
Printer Compatibility
- Store OS supports thermal printers like Posiflex, Rugtek, Advantech, Citizen, etc.
- Documents are generated in real-time and printed via integrated thermal devices.
- A4 PDF versions are also supported for digital or full-page physical output.
Advanced Features
Internationalization Support: Each country can define its own template.
Store-Level Templates: Roadmap includes support for store-specific receipts and invoices (use case from RPOS & Jio POS teams).
Barcode/QR Code Use Cases:
- Validate orders during self-checkout
- Direct customers to landing pages or surveys via QR
- Scan invoice ID for returns, refunds, or audits
