Product Bundle
Introduction
Product bundling helps merchants combine complementary items into a single offer, encouraging customers to purchase more together.
You can create two types of product bundle:
- Physical Bundle: A physical bundle is a single packaged offering that combines complementary products – often general items that are also sold individually – into one cohesive set.
For example, a perfume gift set with four fragrances. The bundle is shipped together as one unit, with inventory managed at the bundle level rather than individually - Virtual Bundle: A virtual bundle is a curated combination of complementary products sold together as a single offer. Each item retains its own inventory, allowing flexible stock management while driving cross-selling and increasing average order value through bundling
Create a Physical Bundle
- On the My Products page, click Create and select Bundle.
- Select the type of bundle as Physical.
- Enter a Bundle Name.
- The Slug is auto-generated but editable. Since it serves as the unique identifier that appears in the product’s URL, ensure it is SEO-friendly to boost search visibility.
- Enter the Item Code, a unique identifier used to track and manage your bundle in the catalog and inventory.
- Add products to the bundle by selecting their SKUs. Click Add, choose the products with their desired sizes, and then click Add SKU to include them. You can add up to five sizes in total across all selected products. You can also set the quantity for each product — defining how many units of a specific product (and size) should be part of one bundle. For example, if your bundle includes two T-shirts and one pair of jeans, set the quantities accordingly.
- Price: This section defines the pricing structure for your product bundle.
- Actual Price: The Price is auto calculated based on the total MRP of the products selected for this bundle.
- Selling Price: The price at which you want to sell the bundle. This can be lower than the actual price to offer a discount.
- Discount: Automatically calculated based on the difference between the actual price and the selling price. It displays both the discount amount and the percentage (e.g., ₹1098 or 35.44%).
- Use individual product packaging for this bundle: Toggle this on if you are unsure about the overall bundle size. The platform will automatically use the individual sizes of each SKU and calculate the total packaging size for the bundle.
- Enter the dimensions of the complete package (in cm) — length, width, and height. These measurements are used to calculate the volumetric weight, which helps determine shipping costs.
These dimensions will be displayed only if the Use individual product packaging toggle is turned off.
- Enter the Product Dead Weight — the actual physical weight of the entire bundle.
- Add media for the products included in the bundle. This media will be shown in the bundle's PDP page
- Add a product description, focusing on key features and benefits to help customers understand its value at a glance.
- Select the Country of Origin where the bundle or its products are manufactured or assembled. This information is mandatory for customs declarations, invoices, and product labeling.
- Choose the appropriate HSN (Harmonized System Nomenclature) code for your bundle. The HSN code classifies goods for taxation and import/export purposes.
- Add Highlight points that describe your product bundle’s key features or benefits.
- Allow return of individual bundled products: Enable this option to let customers return specific products from the bundle instead of the entire set.
- Once all details are filled in, click Save. The product bundle will appear on the My Products page, where you can then set its inventory
Create a Virtual Bundle
Virtual Bundle let you group multiple products together and sell them as a single offer — without maintaining a separate inventory for the bundle itself. A virtual bundle’s availability is automatically calculated based on the lowest stock level among the products included in it.
Example:
Let’s say you create a Everyday Style Combo virtual bundle that includes:
- T-shirt (Stock: 10 units)
- Jacket (Stock: 8 units)
- Accessory (Stock: 15 units)
Even though each product has a different stock quantity, the bundle’s total available quantity will be 8, because the jacket (the lowest-stock item) limits how many complete bundles can be sold.
To create a virtual bundle, select Virtual Bundle as the bundle type in the Basic Details section. The remaining steps are the same as those for creating a physical bundle, except that you don’t need to set inventory.
