Partial Update of Product-level Attributes

Adding Media Files (Images)

Sample Scenario 1:

There’s a product which has no images. Now you wish to add images to the product.

Columns required in the Excel sheet:

  1. Item Code
  2. Brand
  3. Media
  4. Command

Adding/Updating Description

Sample Scenario:

There’s a product which has an empty or dummy description. Now you wish to add a description to the product.

Columns required in the Excel sheet:

  1. Item Code
  2. Brand
  3. Short Description
  4. Description
  5. Command

Deleting a Product

Sample Scenario:

There’s a product which is not manufactured anymore. Now you wish to delete the product.

Columns required in the Excel sheet:

  1. Item Code
  2. Brand
  3. Command

Removing a Non-Mandatory Attribute Value

Sample Scenario:

There’s a product having Make up Finish = Matte, but you noticed that the uploaded value is wrong. Now you wish to remove this value from the product.

Columns required in the Excel sheet:

  1. Item Code
  2. Brand
  3. Non-Mandatory Attribute (Here, Make up Finish)
  4. Command

Steps:

  1. Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
  2. Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier.
  3. Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
  4. Add a new column with a header named Command.
  5. Remove values from 'Make up Finish' column.
  6. Make sure to enter Update in the Command column.
  7. Save the file and import your file.
