Add Multiple Sizes
Use the bulk import tool in the Commerce Panel to add multiple sizes for a product. Each size can have its own identifier, pricing, and dimension values. This is useful for managing size-based variants of a single product while keeping inventory and pricing accurate.
Before you start
Ensure that you have:
- A list of sizes and identifiers (EAN, SKU, or UPC) for each size.
- Size-specific values such as price, dimensions, and weight.
- The latest product import template from the Commerce Panel.
Step 1: Open the bulk import tool
- Sign in to the Commerce Panel.
- Go to Products > My products.
- Select Bulk action > Import.
- Under Bulk import, choose Product.
Step 2: Download and open the template
Select the appropriate:
- Product type (Standard, Set, Composite, or Digital)
- Department
- Template based on department and product category
Select Download template and choose either Excel or CSV format.
Open the downloaded file in a spreadsheet editor.
Step 3: Add product and size details
In the first row, enter the main product details:
- name
- item_code
- brand
- category
- description
- short_description
- Fill in all other mandatory columns (highlighted in green)
In the size column, enter the product size (for example, S, M, L, XL).
To add more sizes of the same product:
Add a new row below the first size row.
In the new row:
Repeat the values for:
- item_code
- brand
Enter a different value in the size column (for example, M).
Provide new values for:
- GSTIN type (choose from SKU, EAN, UPC)
- GSTIN value (enter the unique identifier)
- Seller identifier (select the identifier used to track inventory)
Enter size-specific attributes:
- actual_price: Enter the base price.
- selling_price: Enter the discounted or final price.
- currency: Enter the applicable currency code (for example, INR, USD).
- length, width, height: Enter the size dimensions.
- weight: Enter the weight of the item in the specified unit.
Repeat this process for each additional size of the same product.
To add a different product with multiple sizes:
In a new row, enter the complete details of the new product.
Follow the same steps as above to add additional sizes—each in a separate row.
For each size, repeat item_code and brand, and update the values for:
- size
- GSTIN type
- GSTIN value
- Seller identifier
- Pricing and dimension fields
Ensure that each row represents a unique size variant with its own identifier and attributes.
Step 4: Save and upload the file
After completing all size entries and verifying the data:
- Save the file in Excel or CSV format.
Return to the Import screen in the Commerce Panel.
Upload the completed file.
Review the preview screen:
- Total products detected
- Errors or invalid entries
If there are issues:
- Download the file, fix the data, and reupload.
If the data is valid, select Upload to start the import.
Step 5: Check import status
Go to Upload history to monitor the file status:
- Status: Pending, Completed, Failed, or Cancelled
- Number of total, successful, failed, or cancelled rows
- Template name and upload time
- Uploaded by (merchant user)
Select the file name to view detailed upload results.
Select Refresh if the status shows as in progress.
Step 6: Verify size variants
Once the file status shows Successful, go to My products and:
- Search for the product using its name or item code.
- Open the product to confirm that all size variants have been created correctly with their respective identifiers, prices, and dimensions.
