Add Multiple Images
You can upload multiple images for products in bulk using the Commerce Panel. This helps save time when managing large product catalogues.
Before you start
Prepare a public image hosting link (for example, Dropbox or Google Drive) for each product image.
Step 1: Go to the bulk import tool
- Sign in to the Commerce Panel.
- Go to Products > My products.
- Select Bulk action > Import.
- Under Bulk import, select Product.
Step 2: Set up your import file
On the upload screen, select the following:
- Product type (Standard, Set, Composite, or Digital)
- Department
- Template (based on department and product category)
Select Download template and choose either CSV or Excel.
Open the downloaded file. Mandatory columns are highlighted in green.
Fill in the required product information in the first row:
- name: Enter the product name.
- item_code: Enter the product’s unique item code.
- brand: Select the associated brand.
- category: Choose the relevant product category.
- description: Add a detailed description.
- short_description: Add a brief summary.
- Enter additional product specifications as applicable.
Step 3: Add media links
Use the media column to add image URLs.
To add multiple images for a single product:
In the media column, paste the public link to the first image.
In the next row:
- Repeat the item_code and brand values.
- Leave all other columns blank.
- Enter the next image link in the media column.
Repeat the step above for each image of the same product.
Only repeat the item_code and brand in image rows. Do not copy any other product data.
To add images for a different product:
- Start from a new row.
- Fill in complete details of the next product in the first row.
- Add additional images in new rows using the same method.
Enter the material dimensions (length, width, height, weight) – not the product’s packaging dimensions.
Step 4: Upload the completed file
Save the filled-in file.
Return to the Import screen in the Commerce Panel.
Upload your file.
A preview screen will show the data:
- Total number of products
- Any invalid rows or errors
To make changes:
- Edit the file offline and upload it again.
- If all data is correct, select Upload to start the import.
Step 5: Track upload status
Go to Upload history to track your file:
- Status: Pending, Completed, Failed, or Cancelled
- Total products processed
- Success, failure, and cancelled counts
- Product template used
- Batch start time
- Uploaded by (user email or ID)
Select the file name to view detailed results.
Select Refresh to update the status if it’s still showing as “in progress”.
Step 6: Verify product images
Once the upload is complete and shows Successful, go to My products to view the uploaded images.
