Bank Offers

Introduction

This feature supports creating bank offers. Bank offers can be created for Both Custom and standard checkout, allowing merchants to configure bank offers for the payment methods (MOPs) that are set up for their sales channels. This flexibility ensures that merchants can apply bank offers across a wide range of payment options during the checkout process, whether they are using standard or custom PGs.

Merchants can configure bank offers in two ways: automatically or manually, for those MOPs that are already configured for their sales channel (storefront). For the automatic application of bank offers, merchants should configure the bank offers under Promotions, which will automatically apply the offer to all the MOPs. For manual application, the offer can be set up under Coupons, requiring customers to manually apply the coupon code to avail the offer during checkout.

When configuring bank offers, merchants have the option to apply them to specific payment methods (MOPs). For example, if a merchant wants to offer a discount only for certain payment methods like a specific credit card or wallet, they can select those specific MOPs while setting up the offer.

However, if the merchant does not select any specific MOPs, the offer will be applied to all available payment methods by default. This ensures that every customer, regardless of their chosen payment method, can benefit from the promotion or coupon. In the case of standard checkout, where customers are taken to a payment gateway page to choose their payment method, the system will automatically apply the offer to all MOPs. This is because the merchant cannot control which payment method the customer selects on the payment gateway page. Therefore, the discount will apply across all the available payment methods to ensure it works seamlessly with any option the customer picks.

In scenarios where a customer applies a coupon tied to a particular MOP but selects a different MOP during checkout, the system will prompt an error. The customer will be asked to either switch back to the correct MOP to retain the coupon or proceed with the new MOP, which will result in the removal of the coupon. This process ensures the accurate application of bank offers based on the selected payment method.

Steps to Create a Promotion or Coupon

  1. Login to your Fynd Platform Panel.
  2. Select Sales Channel Settings from the menu.
  3. Go to Marketing.
  4. Select Promotions or Coupons section where you can create a new promotion or coupon.
  5. Click on the option to Create a New Promotion or Coupon.
  6. In the promotion/coupon setup, define the percentage value of the discount you wish to offer on prepaid orders.
  7. Complete the rest of the fields such as title, applicable dates, target audience, etc.
  8. Scroll down to the Bank Options section.
  9. Select the Standard Checkout Payment Gateways (e.g., PayU, CCAvenue) that will be eligible for the promotion.
  10. Click Create.
