Introduction

The Autocomplete Search feature enhances the customer search experience by suggesting relevant results as customers type their queries. These suggestions include product suggestions, brand suggestions, collection suggestions, and category suggestions, making the search process faster and more intuitive.

2. Product Suggestions:

   • This feature helps in suggesting products as the customer types. When the user clicks on a product suggestion, they are directed to the corresponding product page.
   • Set a Product Limit to determine the maximum number of products displayed in the suggestions list. For instance, with the product limit set to 3, only three products will be displayed when a customer searches for a keyword.

3. Collection Suggestions:

   • This field enables the suggestion of collections that match the search query. Clicking on a collection suggestion redirects customers to a page with the products belonging to that collection.
   • Set a Collection Limit to control the number of collections that appear in the suggestions list. For instance, with the collection limit set to 1, only one collection will be displayed when a customer searches for a keyword.

4. Brand Suggestions:

   • This field suggests brands that match the search query. When customers click a brand suggestion, they are redirected to a listing page filtered by that brand.
   • Set a Brand Limit to limit the number of brand suggestions that can be displayed. For instance, with the brand limit set to 2, only two brands will be displayed when a customer searches for a keyword.

5. Category Suggestions:

   • This field displays relevant categories based on the search query. Clicking a category suggestion will redirect customers to a page filtered by that category.
   • Configuration: Set a Category Limit to determine how many categories are shown as suggestions. For instance, with the category limit set to 2, only two categories will be displayed when a customer searches for a keyword.

Configure Autocomplete Search

1. Toggle on the options for Query Suggestions, Product Suggestions, Collection Suggestions, Brand Suggestions, and Category Suggestions as per your needs.

2. For each suggestion type, configure the limits by specifying the number of results that should be displayed. These are labeled as "Product Limit", "Collection Limit", "Brand Limit", and "Category Limit".

3. Once you configure the settings, you can view a live preview of the changes. This is available on the right side of the screen, under the Live Preview section. Clicking the preview link will show how the autocomplete search looks in action.

4. After configuring your preferred settings, click Save to apply the changes.
