Deployment Store
Ignore this option if you have a single selling location or if you don't use the website or app in your physical stores.
Introduction
Here, you can choose the stores where your application should get deployed. This is useful for physical stores where you want to run the website or app. You can either select all stores or specific stores to deploy your application. If multiple selling locations are chosen, you will be given an option to choose your ordering store upon opening the website/app on your device. Orders placed in such stores will get their name tagged to the order.
Deployment Store Configuration
The Deployment Store configuration is a mandatory step for enabling Store OS within any Sales Channel on the Fynd Commerce Platform.
Purpose
This configuration allows merchants to specify which store locations should be treated as "ordering stores" for the Store OS application. These are the physical locations where modules like mPOS, Clientelling, Endless Aisle, or Kiosk will be actively used to place and manage orders.
Key Functions
- Enable Store OS Functionality Store OS modules will not activate unless deployment stores are selected for the sales channel.
- Define Ordering Context Orders placed via Store OS are tagged to the selected store, ensuring accurate tracking for inventory, operations, and reporting.
- Flexible Deployment Options
Merchants can choose to:
- Deploy to All Stores for a full rollout
- Select Specific Stores where Store OS is required
User Experience Impact
When Store OS is deployed to multiple stores:
- Upon accessing the app, store staff will be prompted to select their store (ordering location).
- Orders placed from the app will be tagged to that store, enabling proper processing and analytics.
How to Configure Deployment Store
- Go to the Commerce Panel
- Select the desired Sales Channel
- Navigate to Configuration > Deployment Store
This step is mandatory for enabling Store OS in any Sales Channel.
Example
If the merchant selects “Saran Ledonne” as a deployment store, the staff at that location will see it listed upon accessing the Store OS application. Once selected, they will be able to use the app for assisted sales and order processing.
