Custom 404 Page
The Custom 404 Page feature in the Arlo Theme allows you to create a personalised and user-friendly error page for situations when a user encounters a "404 error" or "404 not found." This error occurs when a requested web page or resource is unavailable on the server, often due to broken links, mistyped URLs, or removed content.
Accessing the Custom 404 Page
To access and configure the Custom 404 Page using the Arlo Theme, follow these steps:
- Select "Not Found Page" from the dropdown menu.
- A pop-up window will appear, presenting the "not found" section.
- Customise the subsections within the "Not Found" page to tailor the error page to your preferences.
Customising the Not Found Section
Within the "Not Found" section of the Custom 404 Page, you can personalise the following aspects:
1. Heading
The heading serves as the primary title or headline that introduces the content of your Custom 404 Page. Enter the desired heading text in the provided text field.
2. Button #1 text
Button #1 text refers to the label or message displayed on a button that guides users to take a specific action. Use this button to direct users to an active collection or relevant content.
3. Button #1 link
Associate a link with Button #1 text to guide users to a designated page or collection that aligns with their interests.
4. Button #2 text
Similar to Button #1 text, Button #2 text provides an additional option for users to take action. Use this button to guide users to another active collection or page.
5. Button #2 link
Assign a link to Button #2 text, directing users to a chosen page or collection that aligns with their preferences.
