What is Promise Configuration?

Promise Configuration enables merchants to set and communicate precise delivery timelines to customers. It factors in store processing time, delivery partner transit time, and buffer time to ensure accurate and reliable delivery estimates.

Configuring Delivery Promise

Merchants can set delivery promise parameters using the following variables:

  1. Store Variables

These define store-related factors affecting delivery time:

  • Store Operational Timings: Hours when the store is open.

  • Store Order Acceptance Timings: Time slots when orders are accepted.

  • Average Store Processing Time (Selected): Time taken to process and prepare an order.

  • Store Holiday Calendar (Selected): Days when the store is closed.

  1. Delivery Partner Variables

These define delivery partner-related factors:

  • Delivery Partner Pickup Cut-Off Timings: Deadline for package pickup.

  • Delivery Partner TAT: Time taken by the delivery partner to complete delivery.

  • Promise TAT Considering All Delivery Partners (Selected): Sets promise time based on eligible partners.

  • Delivery Partner Holiday Calendar: Days when delivery partners do not operate.

Merchants can add extra time to delivery calculations for unexpected delays. In this case, a buffer time of 259,200 seconds (3 days) has been set.

Once the necessary variables are selected, merchants can Save the configuration to ensure customers receive accurate delivery time estimates.
